Siae awards for quality in adult education

The SIAE awards for the development of quality were given to educational organisations that offer education for to adults and to individuals for extraordinary achievements and the carefully planned development of quality in adult education. The SIAE established the awards for the development of quality as a reward and motivation for achieving the highest level of careful planning of the development of quality in adult education.

The award for quality development is a recognition of the efforts which are put into quality and carefully planned implementation of quality systems in adult education.

The SIAE awards for quality development were awarded to:

• Educational and other organisations offering education to adults which ensured a planned and comprehensive development of quality (e.g. have special quality teams, plans for quality development, who regularly evaluate their quality and act based on the evaluation results, who constantly learn how to execute their work in a better way, etc.); and
• Individuals who successfully encourage the development of adult education quality in their work environments, and who excel in the constant development in this field (e.g. to those teachers, professional associates, leaders, CEOs, and headmasters who actively participate in the processes of evaluation and development of adult education quality in their own organisation while also taking care of the quality of their own work).

The awards were given to educational organisations or individuals who could prove that they meet the award criteria which are defined in the Regulation on the SIAE awards for quality development in adult education. The SIAE published a call for nominations every two years. The winners were selected by the Committee for the SIAE awards for quality development in adult education. The Committee was nominated by the SIAE Board. There were two rounds of awards so far, in 2007 and in 2009.

In 2009, the SIAE awards were bestowed for the second time. The second call for nominations was published at the end of 2008.

The awards were given to three educational organisations offering adult education:

mag. MAJDA KRALJ, Academia d.o.o., Maribor

 

The first awards – called the SIAE awards for exceptional efforts in quality development – were awarded at a ceremony in 2007. The call for nominations was published at the end of 2006.

The awards were given to two educational organisations:
