Purpose and goals

The purpose of the project is to enhance the quality, inclusiveness, efficiency, and relevance of education and training systems.

Taking into account the current development of the education system, the project will focus on the implementation and enhancement of results and knowledge through the professional training of education professionals.

The main objectives of the project are to train professionals and managers for work in the field of inclusion in education, coping with social and environmental change, quality assurance through the use of data, supporting self-evaluation processes and improving learning and teaching, lifelong learning, innovative approaches in teaching and innovations in education.

Description

The project is led by the National Education Institute Slovenia, with the Slovenian Institute of Adult Education (SIAE) as a consortium partner.
Other participating institutions include:
  • Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI)
  • National Examinations Centre (RIC Ljubljana)
  • Centre for School and Outdoor Education (CŠOD)
The project is implemented as part of the Operative programmes for implementation of the European Cohesion Policy 2021–2027.

The project target group is professionals in the field of pre-school education, primary education, primary music education, vocational and technical education, general secondary education, education of children and youth with special needs, education in student dormitories, adult education and public institutions.
The trainings are intended for:
  • Collectives or education organisations,
  • Professionals in individual fields and subjects,
  • Management personnel.
Here, we describe training and professional development for experts involved in establishing and upgrading internal quality systems in adult education organizations.

To achieve this fundamental goal, eight adult education training and improvement programs are planned for the duration of the project:
  • Advanced trainings for quality counselors in adult education (two sessions in 2025, one session in 2026, 2027, and 2028);
  • Basic training programme for quality counselors in adult education (2 sessions in 2025 and 2028);
  • Internal quality system and self-evaluation in adult education organizations (2 sessions in 2026 and 2027);
  • Didactic aspects of planning and implementing distance, blended, and hybrid adult education (1 session in 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028).

Planned achievements

We began implementing basic and advanced training programs in 2025. We carried out three basic and advanced programmes in the field of quality development od adult education:
  • Basic training programme for counselors for quality development in adult education (March 4–26, SIAE);
  • Advanced training for counselors for quality in adult education (April 17, SIAE, and November 20, BIC Ljubljana);
  • Didactic aspects of planning and implementing distance, blended, and hybrid adult education (May 7–June 16, blended training (SIAE, Moodle, Zoom).
