Description

In August 2016, the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education published the manual, Results and effects of adult education: recommendations for evaluating the results and effects of education, educational activities and educational projects, as part of the activity Systematic inclusion and further development of self-evaluation in adult education field within the ESF project Professional support for the sector of basic competences 2016–2022. The aim of this expert publication, written by Sonja Klemenčič and Tanja Možina, PhD, is to support professional activities in the field of quality in adult education.

These recommendations give a holistic insight into one of the possible systematic ways to monitor and evaluate the results and effects of education, educational activities, and educational projects.

The publication offers recommendations for organisations who offer adult education and organise different activities and/or projects related to adult education, and who want to improve their monitoring and evaluation of the results and effects of their education, educational activities, and/or projects.

The organisations can use these recommendations and adapt them to their needs. We assume that most organisations using these recommendations will only want to change or improve one aspect of their monitoring and/or evaluation of the results and effects at a time. After implementing one change, they might reach for these recommendations again and select a new challenge related to the development and improvement of their internal quality system.
