Description
The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) published a manual for VET providers called the Handbook for VET providers.Assurance of quality is essential for the accreditation and certification of study programmes and degrees. The organisation must establish an efficient internal quality system in order to ensure the constant improvement of quality. The handbook focuses on importance of internal quality management, especially in organisation offering vocational education and training.
The objective of the handbook is to lead VET providers through the quality assurance steps based on the PDCA cycle (P = Plan, D =Do, C = Check, A = Act), which is the basis for any quality management system. The handbook offers guidelines, advice and practical examples from 20 providers of initial, continuous or vocational training.
